Zeina Nassar ist als Tochter libanesischer Eltern in Berlin-Kreuzberg aufgewachsen. Sie hat eine Schwester und zwei Brüder. Ihre Eltern stammen aus Tyros (Sur) im Süd-Libanon. Als sie 13 Jahre alt war, begann sie – inspiriert von einem Video auf YouTube – mit dem Boxsport.

“Boxing first came to mind when a friend and I came across workout videos of female boxers. Their discipline and elegance within a sport I’d always been told was about men pointlessly beating each other up had me hooked,” Zeina told Material magazine about how her career started. Luckily, all of that changed when Zeina Nassar stepped into the ring. At just 23 years old, the German born boxer of Lebanese descent has not only risen to the top of the boxing world (she's a six Berlin boxer Zeina Nassar’s fighting spirit has won her plenty of titles, but her battle to wear the hijab in the ring has also made her an equal opportunity champion.
Zeina Nassar ist mehrfache Berliner Meisterin und deutsche Meisterin im Boxen. Gewichtsklasse: Federgewicht. Leicht sind ihr die Erfolge jedoch nicht gefallen, denn bis die 21-Jährige im Ring – Zeina Nassar wollte schon als Dreizehnjährige unbedingt boxen. Doch lange durfte die Deutsche Meisterin nicht an Wettkämpfen teilnehmen, weil Zeina ihr Kopftuch auch im Ring nicht ablegen will. 2019 wurden die internationalen Wettkampfregeln auf ihren Druck hin endlich geändert.
